Why SHEMA Exists

For generations, many have read an Eastern book through Western lenses. Without context, parables flatten into morals, Hebrew word‑pictures lose their color, and Jesus the Rabbi becomes a distant figure. SHEMA restores the Bible’s Jewish roots so modern readers can recover its depth and intent.

By re-engaging Second Temple history, culture, language, literature, geography, theology, and rabbinic wisdom, familiar passages come alive. We invite the Church to rediscover Scripture’s world so we can follow Jesus not only with knowledge, but with desire and obedience rooted in love for our God.

SHEMA’s mission is clear: to help believers love God with all their heart, with all their soul, andwith all their might by meeting Him in the Bible’s original context. We create tools—blogs and an AI‑powered Bible app—that surface Hebrew word pictures, rabbinic insights, and the culture of Jesus’ world so every passage speaks with full depth.

Everything we build flows from the Shema itself: to hear is to obey. Our pattern is simple: hear the Word, believe the Word, obey the Word.

SHEMA exists to help people move beyond information into obedience—where hearing becomes believing and believing becomes living.

That’s why we’re building the SHEMA App — a trained RAG AI Bible app that goes beyond verses and Western commentaries to unlock their original voice:

Our dream is simple: help the Church return to its roots, so we can be united in truth and faith. And the goal is that we would all fulfill the greatest commandment according to our Rabbi, Lord, Savior, and King — Jesus (Yeshua):

Ricardo’s first passion is to love God—and to help others do the same. Learning from Jewish and Messianic teachers, he builds tools that join design, technology, and discipleship. Ricardo believes that learning from Eastern and Jewish context helps us understand more of God’s character and awakens greater awe and wonder at His love. As we grasp this, we cannot help but fall in love with Him—no longer treating Him as only a ticket to heaven, but desiring to know and love Him intimately
